CAR MODEL: 1948 2-Door Chevy Fleetline
Owner: Rick Casanova
Photography and Text by: Richard Gypsy Fernandez
Shooting Rick Casanova’s ’48 2-Door Chevy Fleetline, named Sleepwalk, right in front the sweetest pad nestled in Sullivan City, the Southern part of Texas and having a warm welcome from Sullivan City’s Villareal Familia was a great idea. The day was a little windy adding some great hair flowing shots from our beautiful model Amanda. One our the things that really caught my eye was the way our model and Ricks ride complimented each other. Frame after frame it just kept getting better. Something about a photographer and his model is that there has to be a great chemistry between the two in order for it to work. Amanda is an amazing person. I just wanted to put it out there on how much we, the Streetlow magazine staff appreciate all of our beautiful models, as well as the countless Streetlowriders that grace our pages for our loyal readers. Rick is a member of ViejitoS Car Club Rio Grande Valley, Tejas Chapter. Sleepwalk has that traditional ViejitoS feel to it with its classic two toned metallic copper and grayish badge paint job to its plush matching interior, all the way down to its OG hubcaps. It’s fully accessorized from the Bowtie steering wheel, GM tissue dispenser, Airway compass, front and rear defrost fans and much more. This ranfla is raised and lowered by Air Ride supplied by Inez Rods and Customs and rolling on 15″ 560 Coker Classics with a 2-3/4″ Whitewalls. You’ll see Sleepwalk at most of Tejas’ Bomba shows and mainly cruising the streets of Rio Grande Valley. Rick would like to thank God for his many blessings, his beautiful wife Christina for all of her support throughout the years in helping him build Sleepwalk and other rides of theirs, his brother Rey (The Prez of ViejitoS C.C. Austin Chapter) who was his inspiration to building Bombas and Custom rides. Rey showed Rick that doing it right the first time would save him the agony from doing it all over again. Thank you Rick, Christina and Rey for being part of the Streetlow magazine Familia.
